Nelson/Perkins line.

Now for my quandry.

My mom made some casette tapes of conversations with my grandmother (anna ^)
many years ago. On these tapes she tried to get down some family history.

I have transcribed those tapes and am making very little sense of them.

However.

Anna mentions: (these are quotes)

Aunt Nora; Aunt Stella; Uncle Frank; Uncle Henry; Uncle Walt

several members of the family came over on the orphan ship (s)

my grandmother's name was Augustine something

she married a Perkins

my cousin Margie (don't know who that is yet)

Anna's Great Grandparents:

As orphans they were in "bond" - indentured

Now -- I realize that your line is Nelson -- but I find it quite odd and
quite curious that the same names show up. I am very confused at this
point. I don't know what to believe about Perkins or Nelson. I found Neeal
J. Perkins on the 1880 census in Iowa - I presumed this was Ethel's family
because of Nora; Henry; and Stella. Then there's the 1900 census in Iowa
with Neal - and Ethel; Walter; and Frank.

You don't have Ethel listed - but you may not have known of her. Your
Benjamin Franklin - could possible have gone by Frank....

Is there any way you might shed some light on my confused state?

I have had such truoble in tracking these people down that I don't know what
to do next.
