He arrived in America 2 October 1660 at the age of 14.
Please note: The Bolling Family tree is messed up because Robert Bolling married Jane Rolfe, the supposed granddaughter of Pocahontas, but she died in childbirth while giving birth to her first child, or at least she died at about the same time that her child was born.
Robert Bolling then married Anne Stith, by whom he had many children.
However, Bolling Family members have tended all to claim descent from Pocahontas, even though almost all of them are really descended from Anne Stith.
This has led to a lot of false family trees and genealogies.

I spent a lot of time working on this issue when I was writing my book "The Slave Children of Thomas Jefferson", because several of Jefferson's relatives, including his sister, had married into the Bolling family. However, I did that research during 1990-1992 and I can no longer remember the details except to say that I remember very clearly that there were a lot of conflicts among the genealogies in this area.
There are many books and articles on this subject. I did most of my research at the Jones Memorial Library in Lynchburg, Virginia, which has the most complete collection of works on this subject that I know of.
