CAPTAIN [Parents].
"Captain" seems likely to have been the same person as Harriet Hemings, since a letter from her granddaughter says that "Captain" was the daughter of Sally Hemings, but her family never referred to her by name, always calling her "Grandma".
Of course, Harriet Hemings, who disappeared and is listed as "Run Away 1822" in Thomas Jefferson's Farm Book ISBN 0-923891-80-3, would not have wanted it revealed that she was THE Famous Harriet Hemings.
