Re: Sloan v. Judge Janow
Dear Honorable Sir:
I have discovered that Judge Gamble issued two court orders without notifying me of them. This is clearly illegal and improper. These is no way for me to appeal from an order unless I know about it.
I am just wondering if you also may have adopted the practice of issuing orders without notifying me of them. I recall that some months back, you sent a letter to Barbara J. Gaden, with a copy to me, in which you directed her to serve me with an order. To date, I have never yet received a copy of any such order. This is most disconcerting, as I am prepared to appeal from any order issued which is adverse to me, and yet cannot do so unless I am provided with a copy of the order entered.
Since Barbara J. Gaden, Assistant Attorney General of Virginia, appears to be an unreliable person when it comes to serving orders on the adverse side, I hereby request that you mail direct to me a copy of any past orders you may have entered in this case. If you have entered any appealable order, I am going to request a fresh order so as to give me a fair opportunity to file a notice of appeal.
Very Truly Yours,
M. Ismail Sloan
