Hello,

My name is Tami Miller. I was hoping that you might be able to help me with some genealogy. I am a descendent of Peter Axel Peterson. Peter came here from Sweden. He was born in Vista, Ostergotland, Sweden on 7 December 1837. He is the son of Jacob Peterson and Maria C. Dram. Maria's middle name is either Charlotte or Charlotta. Jacob was born in Vista, Ostergotland, Sweden on 6 November 1810.

I was wondering if you could look in your records and see if he might be related to the Jacob Axel that you list on your site. Any information you can give me would be much appreciated.

Thankyou,
Tami Miller

Maria Charlotta DRAM was born on 28 Nov 1802 in Hagtorpet, Grebo, Östergötlands län, Sweden. She married Jakob PERSSON in 1839 in Vist, Östergötlands län, Sweden.

They had the following children:

M i Peter Axel JAKOBSSON was born on 7 Dec 1837 in Vist, Östergötlands län, Sweden.

The information was wrong, Peter Axel Jacobsson did not die, he moved 1850 from Cederberg, Vist parish, to Barksveden, Vist parish. 1853 i moved from Barksveden, Vist parish to Slaka parish.

Best regards

M i Karl JAKOBSSON was born in 1702. He died in 1779.

Charles HOWES was born in 1818 in Strand, Middlesex, England. He married Ann Ellen.

I have added Charles and Ann Ellen Howes of Middlesex England as the parents of Frank and Herbert C. Howes as the best guess based on the British census of 1881. This is the best fit, but I have no proof that this is correct, so if anybody has more, different or better information please let me know.

Ann Ellen was born in 1841 in St Martins In The Fields, Middlesex, England. She married Charles HOWES.

They had the following children:

M i Frank HOWES was born in Mar 1871. He died on 6 Dec 1914 in Chicago, Illinois. He was buried in Rosehill Cemetery, Chicago, Section R, Lot 258.

HOWES, FRANK 1914-12-06 CHICAGO 43 YR U 00007734 COOK

Frank Howes is buried in the Sloan Family Plot in Rosehill Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois. Therefore, we know that he must be related to Herbert C. Howes (1880-1939) who was the husband of Anna Daily Sloan Howes (1881-1961), the daughter of Creighton Sloan (1842-1916). The best guess is that Frank Howes was an elder brother of Herbert Howes.

He is probably from this family:
