1749, August 6, Daniel and Abigail were admitted to the church in New
Canaan, CT, recommended by a Mr. Strong of Stanwich, CT. (New CanaanChurch
Rec. Vol 1).1749, at a cost of 100 pounds, Daniel purchased a home in New Canaan that
had been built three 3 years before by a Mr. Timothy DELAVAN. There were
about forty five acre of land with it, the house and land being known as
Cherry Brook. The house was built of fieldstone and had walls three feet
thick. Years later a clapboard siding was added. The original house served
succeeding generations down to the present day.1762, Daniel deeded the home to his son Daniel "for love", reserving the
south part of the home for himself and his wife for the end of theirnatural
lives. Three Years later, after Daniel's death, Daniel Jr. sold the house
and land back to his mother for 100 pounds and sold the northern most
fifteen acres for fifty one pounds ten schillings, selling this parcel to
his sons Abraham and David.The exact date of Daniel's death is not recorded, but occured sometime
between 1762 and 1765. In his "Visitations" of 1772, Rev. William DRUMMOND

and 19.Daniel and Abigail were admitted to the church in New Canaan, CT., 6 Aug.
