I've found a lot of useful info on your site. But you'll have to help me with this one I'm pasting here--I need to know if maybe this family was intended for other parents as the first child is born 10 yrs. before the father. These are my ancestors and just yesterday I saw (for the first time) the graves of Capt. William Triplett's son (Romulus--better know as Black Triplett who was killed at the Bee Creek in Platte City.) Also killed was Gabriel Close and he is buried beside Black. This is on the old Triplett Farm in what is really Tracy, Mo. I want so much to finish this family line as I was yrs. locating what happened to most of the children. You were very helpful in that department. Could you help me a little more and maybe tell me where your source is from. I would really appreciate any help you could give me and I would be willling to supply anything that you might need in that line. My gggrandfather is J.E.M. Triplett (founder of Triplett, Mo. where I was born and lived for several years). He would be first cousin to Black Triplett. All these yrs. we thought we knew where the old home was on the property but the present owners have had the land for yrs. and say that there never was a home on that particular piece of property where there home is now. You can't see it hardly at all cause of the trees so I always thought it was the old home. There is an old home on the other side of the old road that has been renovated (I use the term loosely)--yucky siding but old tin roof so that is a possibility.
I won't keep you any longer but would love to know your connection to the Triplett Family if there is one. My quest has gone on for so many yrs. now to find the burial places of my ggggrandfather Hedgeman and his father Hedgeman. Hope to be getting some info from a library in Indiana soon so maybe it will answer some questions.
