Miss Turkey Asuman Krause
A: My role model is the former prime minister of Turkey, Mrs. Tansu Ciller, who was the first female political leader in my country. She has had influence on my life because of her outstanding performance as a leader. I would like to emulate her.
Q: What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?
A: I was a member of the national basketball team for three years and was very successful. I also played on a team in Germany, and we won the championship.
Q: What is your most treasured possession? Why?
A: A necklace from my great-great-grandmother. She lived through the Second World War. Her husband gave the necklace to her before he died in the war.
Q: What is your career ambition? What are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
A: I want to be one of the most famous models in the world. I plan to get in contact with professional agencies in Paris and London.
Q: What is the most important message or lesson someone in your unique position can convey?
A: My brief message would be that peace among all people around the world is the most important issue of our time. Protecting the environment is very important too.
Q: If you became MISS UNIVERSE and have a chance to represent the women of the world, what is the primary goal you would want to accomplish?
A: I would like to work for world peace.
Q: What question would you like to answer that you have never been asked? What is the answer?
A: Surprise me.
A: I think the role of women in the next century will be equal to that of men in all aspects.
