Thomas WILLIS [Parents] was born on 6 Sep 1612 in of Fenn Ditton,Cambridgeshire,England. He died on 17 Nov 1701. He was buried in Fen Ditton. He married Ann WILDE in 1633.
From Paul Reed:
What makes it so blazingly clear is that Thomas Willis, son of Richard Willis by Joan, daughter and heir of William Henmarsh, was not only knighted, but was created BARONET on 15 Dec. 1641. He and his issue appear in sources such as Burke's Extinct Baronetage. He is included in the extinct peerage because his male issue became extinct 14 Apr. 1732.
A Baronet had a higher profile than a knight. Here is his biography from HC, having served as a Member of Parliament:
WILLYS, (WILLIS), Sir Thomas 1st Bt.(1612-1701), of Fen Ditton, Cambs. CAMBRIDGESHIRE 1659 CAMBRIDGE 1660 bap. 6 Sept. 1612, 1st s. of Richard Willis, counsellor at law, of the Inner Temple and Fen Ditton by Jane, da. and h. of William Henmarsh of Balls Park, Herts. educ. St. John's, Hertford (Mr Frisney); Christ's, Camb. 1629; G. Inn 1631. m. c.1633, Anne (d. 20 Oct. 1685) da. and coh. of Sir John Wilde of Mystole, Kent, 6s. (2 d.v.p.) 7da. suc. fa. 1626; cr. Bt. 15 Dec. 1641.1
J.p. Cambs. 1650-80, commr. for assessment 1650-2, 1657, Jan. 1660-80, 1689-90, militia 1659, Mar. 1660, sewers, Bedford level 1662-3, conservator 1669-89, bailiff 1689-d.; sheriff, Cambs. and Hunts. 1665-6; commr. for recusants, Cambs. 1675.2
Willys's ancestors had resided in Cambridgeshire in Elizabethan times, but it was not until the succeeding reign that they had a grant of the crown manor of Fen Ditton, two miles from Cambridge. Unlike his brother Richard, who fought with distinction for the King, Willys took no known part in the Civil War, and held local office throughout the Interregnum, which may have facilitated his brother's notorious betrayal of the Sealed Knot to the Protectorate Government. In 1659 he became the first of the family to sit in Parliament.3
Willys expected to be re-elected for the county in 1660, but his refusal to commit himself to an unconditional Restoration led to his defeat. Nevertheless, he was returned for the borough. An inactive Member of the Convention, he made no recorded speeches and was appointed to only five committees, including the committee of elections and privileges, and those to settle the establishment of Dunkirk and to draw up instructions for disbanding the army. Although doubtless in opposition, he was proposed as a knight of the Royal Oak with an income of £1,000 p.a. He is unlikely to have stood in 1661, though two years later Samuel Pepys, then just embarked on his career in the Navy Office, thought it worth his while to ‘confute and disabuseâ€(tm) his allegations of ‘errors and corruptionâ€(tm) in the navy and the ‘great expense thereofâ€(tm).4
Willys stood for Cambridge again as a country candidate at the first general election of 1679. Though he was defeated and his petition never reported, Shaftesbury marked him ‘honestâ€(tm). As an exclusionist he was removed from the commission of the peace in 1680, and thenceforth seems to have withdrawn from public life. He died on 17 Nov. 1701, aged 89, and was buried at Fen Ditton. His grandson, the sixth and last baronet, sat from 1727 to 1732 as a government supporter.

He died on 1 Jun 1829 in Dhuloch, west of Stranraer, Scotland. He married Jean SAUL Paul? on 27 Sep 1775 in Stoneykirk, Wigtownshire, Scotland.
Other marriages:FORSYTH, Margaret
IMPORTANT NOTE: I do not have any proof that James Milwain who married Jean Paul or Saul is the same person as the James Milveen who had children with Margaret Forsyth, but this seems to be the most likely explanation for the evidence which I do have. I would welcome the receipt of any additional evidence on this matter.

Hello Sam, I can tell you that according to the MI booklet that James Milvain is not buried in either New Luce or Glenluce old churchyards, unless his stone was fallen over or unreadable.
However, this may help you:-Glenluce.

Jean SAUL Paul? [Parents] 1, 2 was born on 25 Apr 1749 in Kirkcudbright Parish, Wigtownshire, Scotland. She was christened on 28 Apr 1749. She died on 17 Aug 1835 in Dhuloch, west of Stranraer, Scotland. She married James MILWAIN on 27 Sep 1775 in Stoneykirk, Wigtownshire, Scotland.
In one record on the IGI, the name of Jean Saul is given as Jean Sawl.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Family tradition has it that Jean Saul was the same person as Jean Paul who was the sister of the famous sea captain John Paul Jones. However, Donald C. Thomson in his book "Descendants of Hugh Thomson" pages 7-9 expresses the view that these are two different people. Arguments can be made both ways and further research is necessary. In my opinion, although I have not studied the subject sufficiently, is that they likely are the same person.
If Donald Thomson is correct, Jean was born about 1745, not in 1749. There was also a Jean Saul born in 1754. This seems to be more likely the Jean Saul who died in 1835.

About three years ago I reviewed a film at a Family History Center of LDS,
Film No. 1068038 that pertained to Leswalt Parish Records. Leswalt is west
of Stranraer in Wigtonshire, Scotland. Page 135 had "At Duloch (many
spelling variations), James Milwain aged 78 years died 1 June 1829."
Possibly on the same page, "At Dulock, Jean Saul aged 90 years died 17 Aug
1835 and was buried 19th Aug." Didn't state where buried. My comment--an
age of exactly 90 seems like it could have been an approximation.
At Kirkmaiden Parish--Deaths
Hugh Melwain in Portnepock (Handwriting often hard to decifer) died 28 Nov 1817.
Elizabeth Milwain in same place died 1 May 1821.
Margaret Milwain in same place died 29 Jan 1826.
Ws. (?) Jas. Milwain died there 20 Feb 1830.
James Milwain died there 29 June 1837
Helen Milwain of Bearhill died in March 1853.
I also have a copy of an index to the Stranraer newspapers of vital records
of many in the Milvain and Milwain families, etc., that cover mid-1800s.
This includes a James Milwain who was a "joiner" and died at age 90 in
Newton Stewart per notice of 13 July 1871. Code 4g, whatever that means.
Hope this is of some help.
