Several of my friends were supporters of the Taliban as recently as a few months ago.

They are saying that the Taliban are not Sunni Muslims. The Taliban are Wahabi, they say. (The Wahabi are an extremist sect centered in Saudi Arabia.)

All of my Afghan friends say that they want to kill "that guy". By this they obviously mean Osama bin Laden. They are hoping that the American ground troops will do it soon.
