ISLAMABAD, Aug 21: The foreign office on Friday contradicted its earlier report about casualties inside Pakistan after the US attack in Afghanistan.

An FO spokesman had said in the morning that five or six Pakistanis had died on Thursday when a missile fired at an Afghan target landed on Pakistan soil instead. But in the afternoon the spokesman clarified that no casualty had occurred inside Pakistani territory.

"No damage has been caused on the Pakistan side. An earlier announcement in this regard was based on inaccurate information," it was stated.

All casualties and damage as a result of the US strikes had occurred across the border inside Afghanistan, the spokesman said.
